Greetings from Joseph's House

It's February here at Joseph's House, and, while winter was late in arriving, it's certainly been showing its face lately. We've had some brutally, dangerously cold nights and some snow already this year. We're so grateful for all of our donors and volunteers who haven't forgotten about our guests. We've been working hard to ensure that the homeless in Camden are safe during these cold, cold nights.

In the last three months of 2015, we saw 49 guests move on from Joseph's House. Some found permanent housing, some reconnected with family, and some found facilities where they could receive much needed treatment. It's a real testament to the strength and faith of our guests to see them face the unknown and take steps towards a new, different reality.

Above all, though, the true success of Joseph's House is found in the spirit of dignity and hospitality that every single guest who stays with us shares in. Each and every person who stays with us is received as a guest, with warmth, acceptance, and compassion.

Computer Lab

The Joseph's House computer lab is up and running! Thanks to some generous donors, we've got a lab of three computers where guests can search and apply for jobs, explore educational opportunities, find local services and housing, practice their computer skills, and even keep in touch with friends and family.

Donation Corner

Thank you to all of our generous donors who support our guests with financial donations, wish list items, food, and volunteer time. We're so grateful for all you do and for the spirit you bring to Joseph's House.

Currently, we are not able to accept clothing donations. So many of you were so generous with clothing donations this winter, and our storage space is currently full. We'll let you know when we can accept clothing donations again.

Also, we have been fortunate to receive a gift of a new washing machine and dryer. This new, industrial set will help ensure that our guests have the dignity of clean, fresh clothing. This new washing machine, however, only uses HE DETERGENT. If you would like to donate detergent to Joseph's House, please make sure that it is HE DETERGENT only!
