Tuesday 21 July 2015
Joseph's House is pleased to announce that we have been chosen by The Francis Fund to receive $100,000 to expand our current building to include a Wellness Center, a medical and behavioral health center to serve our guests.
Currently, Joseph's House has one small office for our 80+ nightly guests to meet with medical providers. The New Wellness Center will offer private offices, a larger space for group sessions, and expanded hours of operations.
The Francis Fund is a short-term charitable fund that is working to ensure that Pope Francis' September visit to Philadelphia has a positive impact for the neediest of the Philadelphia and Camden area. The Fund is an initiative of the Hunger and Homelessness Committee of the World Meeting of Families, and aims to raise $1.5 million for groups like Joseph's House.
